Site Specific Installations: Exterior

I'd been contacted by the Alfred Gillett Trust - Clarks Shoes Archive in Street in Somerset's charitable gestures - to take part in the International Women's day of 2018 and from that I was then asked to come back to create a site specific work based on their archive and Orchard. In thinking about the archive within the confines the trust, I became aware whilst sitting inside that life was coming forth outside I went out and it struck me that some of the materials I'd been using such as survival blankets, copper wire  and wool could actually be applied to the trees themselves and the materials could convey the necessary ecological meanings I wanted to speak to people about. Copper, gold and wool have the highest conductivity of heat.... Apples are a very important fruit in Somerset.
